The Transmaxx ALIF is a 3D-printed cage specially designed for the ventral position and offers three insertion options to choose from (anterior, anterio-lateral and lateral).
Versatile Treatment Options
The Transmaxx portfolio offers a diverse range of sizes, including five different heights (ranging from 6 to 14mm in 2mm increments) and four widths (25, 28, 34, and 38mm), complemented by angles of 0°, 10°, and 15°. This comprehensive selection empowers surgeons to achieve optimal restoration of intervertebral height within a spinal segment, thereby facilitating effective osteosynthesis.
Implant Porosity Facilitates Bony Fusion
Literature data reports that pore sizes between 100 µm and 1350 µm promote bone ingrowth, especially when exceeding 300 µm, leading to direct osteogenesis.
Our 3D-printed cage is designed with state-of-the-art technology, featuring pore sizes ranging from 400 µm to 800 µm, and an average pore size of 650 µm. This design offers an open-pore cage structure with a mesh macrostructure composed of 73% air and 27% titanium, akin to the porosity of human cancellous bone (typically ranging from 50% to 90%).
Clear Visibility Under Imaging
The optimal structure of the Transmaxx cage enables clear visualization of the implant largely without interfering artifacts.
This allows for clear assessment of the fusion and of the surrounding tissues.
Gentle on Surrounding Tissues
The edgeless design prioritizes the preservation of surrounding tissues during implantation. Additionally, the active hydrophilic surface enhances ingrowth behavior, fostering improved interaction between osteoblasts and protein surfaces compared to standard titanium. Notably, it shows higher fibronectin adsorption than milled titanium and other surface types.
